ad hoc
・意思：特別的；臨時安排的
・Example 1: In the following weeks, Team A will be assigned to deal with ad hoc tasks.
・翻譯：於未來數周，甲團隊會被分派去處理臨時任務。
・Example 2: The Company will establish an ad hoc committee to investigate the cause of the accident last week.
・翻譯：本公司將會設立特別委員會調查上周事故的成因。

de facto
・意思：事實上
・Example: If the Employee becomes de facto unable to perform his duties without any reasonable reasons, the Employer may terminate this contract.
・翻譯：如果僱員欠缺任何合理理由而在事實上不能履行其職責，僱主有權終止本合約。

de jure
・意思：法理上；法律上
・Example: Company B is guilty of de jure discrimination for excluding certain racial groups in the recruitment process without any reasonable reasons.
・翻譯：乙公司在招聘過程中並無任何合理理由而將若干種族群體排除在外，構成了法律上的歧視。

ex officio
・意思：當然的
・Example: Under the regulation of Company C, the Chief Executive Officer shall be an ex officio member of the Board of Directors.
・翻譯：根據丙公司之規定，行政總裁應為董事局的當然成員。

quorum
・意思：法定人數
・Example: The quorum of the annual Employee Meeting shall be 1/10 of the total number of employees.
・翻譯：年度員工大會的法定人數須為員工總數的十分之一。

status quo
・意思：現狀
・Example: To deal with the dispute between employees and the Company, the Company shall give up the reform of the provident fund system and maintain the status quo.
